Time Out Youth GSA Network Grant Application

The purpose of this grant is to provide funds to GSAs to build awareness and improve campus climate within the following counties: Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, Union, and York (SC).

The applications will be reviewed by a task force at Time Out Youth Center and funds will be awarded for GSAs to use within the 2016-17 school year. Grants will range from $25 to $100 each.

If selected, the GSA will have access to funds for the outlined project and will be required to submit a report overviewing reached outcomes, successes and challenges regarding the project.

Grant requirements:

  • The GSA must have an active advisor or sponsor and be an approved student-led club on campus.
  • The project must reach an objective to improve campus climate and bring awareness to LGBTQ issues.

Priority will be given to projects that engage with issues facing marginalized communities, including transgender and gender-expansive students, LGBTQ youth of color, LGBTQ students with disabilities, and undocumented LGBTQ youth.
